Employees are able to use the clock fine. It's responsive and seems to be behaving correctly but there is no information appearing on the attendance form. This is possibly accompanied by a red dot on the bottom right of the clock which indicates that there's a problem with the connectivity.
The likely cause of this is an issue with the wifi. The clock will hold up to 1,000 clock events without any connectivity, so it's unlikely that any data has been lost during this time. Steps to follow:
- See if you can use the browser on the table to connect to a news page or some website with very high stability.
- If the above fails you should check your local wifi is working; if so check that the tablet is properly connected to the wifi, password has been entered correctly etc.
- If you are properly connected and able to access web pages then try disconnecting the wifi for 10 seconds and reconnecting.
- If the reconnection is successful all of the clock events will be pushed through to the server and will populate the attendance form in the following minute or two (using the correct times for each clocking event).
If the above steps still don't work, the clock app might be out-dated and you may need to uninstall and re-install the clock app. Please be informed that doing so may result in the clock logs stored in the device to be deleted.
