Roubler 9.4 was released on 24 November 2022 with the following new features, improvements and fixes.
Please watch our short demonstration webinar to see all these new and exciting features in action:
What’s new?
Shift bidding
This feature allows unassigned shifts to be made available for eligible employees to express interest. The manager is then notified of the interest and can select the employee(s) they would like to work the shift. This feature will help save managers a significant amount of time creating rosters, it also holds employees more accountable for the shifts they want to work, and can help boost engagement and morale by offering greater flexibility.

Shift acceptance
This feature gives employees the option to either accept or decline shifts that have been assigned to them by their manager. Similar to shift bidding, this feature aims to reduce the time a manager spends creating a roster, boost employee engagement through greater flexibility, and provide the employee with more control and accountability over their work patterns.

Employee probation management
This is a new element that has been added as part of Roubler's new employee onboarding feature. This latest addition enables users to add, track and store probation periods against the employee profile. The dashboard will also include probation notifications for the manager to help them keep up to date.

Restrictions on hiring specific positions
This feature has been introduced to provide limits on the positions a user can hire or onboard for. This update will help reduce errors in the onboarding process by limiting the scope of positions, and will also help save time when filtering through the onboarding options as the user will only see the ones relevant to them.

Automatic breaks to the roster
This feature enables users to add automatic breaks to the roster. This will help users remain compliant by enabling company-wide standardised break times. The duration and frequency of the break can be configured within company settings. The auto breaks can also be overridden if the manager manually adds a break to the schedule.

Filter onboarding workflows by employment type
This latest update gives users further control and customisation during employee onboarding. With the additional 'employment type' filter, hiring managers can now create unique workflows when inviting employees based on their location, position and employment type.
For example, if you are hiring temporary bar staff in a Sydney restaurant, you may want them to submit certain certifications and licenses, and may also want to provide them with certain training or a different employee handbook compared to a full-time head office employee. This new filter makes it easy.
