This feature enables employees with the correct permissions to submit their own timesheets, which may include multiple break times, ready to be reviewed by a manager.
How does this feature work?
1. For employees, via the web portal
Go to "My Profile".
Navigate to the "Time and attendance" tab and click on the "+" icon.
Add the relevant details to include in this new timesheet, then select "Save" to submit.
Upon submission, the timesheet will appear as "awaiting approval". During this stage, employees can still make changes to the timesheet.
Once approved by a manager, the status of the timesheet will change to "approved". During this stage, employees cannot make further changes to the timesheet.
2. For employees, via the mobile app
Launch the mobile app, then tap on the "Timesheets" tile on the mobile app's splash screen. Learn more about using this feature in the mobile app.
3. For managers
Newly submitted timesheets that need to be approved will appear on your dashboard as a notification tile.
Clicking on this notification will take you to the timesheets page, where you can review employees' timesheets per normal.
How do I enable this feature?
This feature is disabled by default. To enable employees to submit their own timesheets, you must first create a company-wide permission group, then add the relevant employees to the group.
To create or edit a permission group, go to Management > Settings > Manage permissions.
To enable this feature, tick the box for "Create and update own timesheet entry through the employee portal or mobile app", then select "Save".
Remember the name of this permission group to be able to assign employees to this group.
