We’ve recently updated the 2026 Anzac Day public holidays in line with the latest government guidance.
If you have manually added any additional public holidays (for example, Anzac Day Additional Public Holiday – 27 April 2026) to your platform, you may now see duplicates.
To resolve this, we recommend reapplying the Public Holiday template, which will ensure all dates are applied correctly and consistently.
If you need any assistance with this, please let us know — we’re happy to help.
Overview
In 2026, Anzac Day falls on Saturday 25 April. As a result, some states and territories will also observe an additional public holiday on Monday 27 April.
Public Holiday Dates
Saturday 25 April 2026 – Anzac Day
This is the actual Anzac Day public holiday and applies to all Australian states and territories.
Monday 27 April 2026 – Additional Public Holiday
An additional public holiday applies on Monday 27 April 2026 for:
- New South Wales (NSW)
- Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
- Western Australia (WA)
Important Notes
- ACT confirmed it would align with NSW for 2026, resulting in both 25 April and 27 April being public holidays.
- WA also observes an additional public holiday on the following Monday when Anzac Day falls on a weekend. The WA Government lists both Saturday 25 April and Monday 27 April 2026 as public holidays.
- Other states and territories do not observe an additional public holiday on 27 April 2026 and only recognise 25 April 2026.

When setting up Public Holiday templates for 2026:
- 25 April 2026 should be applied to all states and territories
