Payroll > Payroll Settings > Public Holiday
Please note there are two steps required to set up public holidays in Roubler each set up in separate sections
- The first step is to set up public holidays for Rosters and Leave Requests so they are correctly reflected in the roster, and when an employee takes leave. Refer Management > Settings - Public-holidays for Rosters and Leave (AU-NZ-UK)
- The second step is to set up how these public holidays are applied in the payrun, per the instructions below. Open Payroll > Payroll Settings > Public Holiday
- Check to see if the public holiday exists already on the calendar. Most public holidays will be shown automatically, however any local holidays will need to be added.
- Ensure the settings for the holiday are configured correctly by checking the right state or locations are selected.
- To add a public holiday:
- Click on the relevant date you'd like to add a public holiday to.
- Enter a Description, Notes (if applicable), State/s and/or Specific locations, the same as how the Public Holiday was set up in STEP ONE under Settings > Holiday. If you want a public holiday to apply to certain Company Locations only, ensure you only assign those locations. Do not also select to apply the holiday to the STATE as this will result in the holiday being applied to all locations in that state.
- Likewise For REGIONAL public holidays, only assign the Company location that observes that public holiday.
- Click Save
