For businesses that have this function enabled, employees can manage leave requests through the mobile app. This enables them to:
- Submit new leave requests
- Edit or cancel existing leave requests
- View upcoming and historical leave
- View pending, approved and declined leave requests.
Note: leave types shown will differ depending on the employee and the business settings.
- Full time/part-time employees will be able to apply for leave (i.e. annual leave, personal leave etc.)
- Casual employees will be able to apply for unavailability
- Casual employees who work for a business where Make leave available to casual staff is turned on, casual employees will also have the option to apply for leave.
Submit new leave requests
- Open the mobile app
- Tap Leave & availability
- Tap New request
- Select leave date/s
- Select Business (this will only appear if you belong to several)
- Select Leave type:
- Unavailability (this is the default for casual employees)
- Other leave types will be available for full time and part time employees
- Under Requesting leave from toggle off All day to apply for a part day of leave.
- Select the Starting time and Ending time as needed for each day
- Select a Repeat option as needed:
- Non-recurring
- Weekly
- Fortnightly
- Monthly
- Quarterly
- Enter any relevant Notes
- Supporting documents:
- Tap Add document to upload a file
- Tap the camera icon to take a photo
- Tap Next
- The Request Overview screen will appear, allowing you to review the details you entered
- Tap Back to make any changes, otherwise tap Submit
Cancel existing leave requests
- Tap Leave & availability
- Tap on the relevant leave request
- Tap Cancel request > Confirm
Edit existing leave requests
- Tap Leave & availability
- Tap on the relevant leave request
- Click Edit request
- Re-enter details and re-submit.
View upcoming and historical leave
- Tap Leave & availability
- Click Upcoming or Historical to view
View pending, approved and declined leave requests
- Tap Leave & availability
- Tap on the relevant leave request to view its status. This will either be:
- Pending
- Approved
- Declined (decline reason will also be visible)
