Unveiling the latest addition to Roubler's toolkit – the Broadcast Messaging feature! Elevate team communication effortlessly with this feature-rich tool designed to keep your teams engaged and messages flowing seamlessly.
Before diving in, remember to enable the messaging feature from your organization's Business Settings within Roubler. Once activated, customize permissions for your teams to ensure alignment with your business requirements. This feature spans both the Web and Employee App versions of Roubler.

Now, let's explore what this feature brings to the table and how to make the most of it:
How to Set Up
So that you are able to determine how your business would like to utilise this feature, this will be released in a way that is switched off, until you choose to switch it on.
Turn on the feature by:
1. Navigating to Settings and selecting Company Settings.
2. From the Features tab, toggle Enable Broadcasting Messaging to On
Enable Permissions for this feature by:
1. Head to Settings and selecting Permission Groups or Default Permissions from managers and above
2. Within the relevant custom permission groups, you can add any or all of the following permissions:
- Post Message
- View Message
Note, the permissions are based on what the user has access to relating to employees and locations.
Update your App
Head to the Apple Store or Google Play Store, search for Roubler and update to the newest version. Ensure all team members who will be using this feature have updated their app. This feature will only be available on Mobile App version 5.5 and above.
App
Find the new Messages tile on the App's Home Page.
Inside Messages, you’ll find two tabs - Feed and Action, along with a search area and, for authorized users, an option to create a New Message.
Newsfeed
Until messages populate, the newsfeed remains blank. As messages roll in, they'll appear here.
Messages display in chronological order, except for:
- Pinned posts at the top (Oldest to Newest).
- Important posts at the top (Newest to Oldest), unless pinned posts are present.
- Pinned and Important posts supersede all others and appear at the very top (Newest to Oldest).
Message details include:
- Poster name
- Posting date
- Recipients
- Pinned and Important status
- Message text, attachments, and reactions
- Comment options and read status for required reading posts.
New Message
To compose a new message, select New Message.
Options include:
- Selecting recipients (Locations, Sublocations, individuals) 👋
- Writing a message with emojis (or without 😉)
- Adding attachments 📎or images 📷
- Marking as Important ⚠️or Pinned 📌
- Requesting Read Confirmation ✅
- Enabling or disabling comments 💬
After sending, receive an affirmative message or fix issues highlighted on-screen.
Action
Users needing Read Confirmation will find messages in both Newsfeed and Actions.
Recipients can mark messages as read, while senders can track read status and nudge recipients if necessary.
Notifications
Push Notifications sent to both Devices and Web.
Three notification types for different post categories.
Recipients can select notifications to be directed to the relevant message.
Web
Find the new Messages icon on the Web Page Header (next to profile name)
