Roster templates make it easier for managers to build rosters quickly and easily. It enables them to populate a blank roster with relevant shifts.
For example, if the company is running a bar they might know that on public holidays they generally need two chefs, six-bar staff, five waiters etc.
When the Manager is rostering staff for that day, they would then be able to select the “Public holiday template”. This would set up the unassigned shifts for each of the chefs, bar staff etc. in the appropriate locations. Users can then start assigning people (or potentially smart roster) to those shifts, or optionally add/remove them.
